Modern Slavery Policy
Modern Slavery Statement
Preston Street Films
A trading name of Last House Media Ltd
Preston Street Films is committed to conducting its business responsibly, ethically and with respect for human rights.
We recognise that modern slavery and human trafficking are serious crimes and fundamental violations of human rights. We do not tolerate slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, human trafficking or other forms of exploitation in our business or supply chain.
Our business and supply chain
PSF is a small video and audio production company based in Exeter, working with clients and production partners across the UK and, where appropriate, internationally.
Our supply chain is primarily made up of freelance production professionals, creative suppliers, equipment and production services, software and technology providers and other professional and business services.
We recognise that the risks of modern slavery vary depending on the nature and location of a supplier’s activities. We take a proportionate approach to assessing and managing those risks.
Our commitments
We are committed to:
- treating employees, freelancers, suppliers and production partners fairly and with respect;
- carrying out recruitment and engagement processes lawfully;
- not knowingly working with organisations or individuals involved in modern slavery or human trafficking;
- using reputable suppliers and production partners;
- considering modern slavery risks when engaging suppliers, labour providers or international production partners;
- taking concerns about exploitation seriously and investigating them appropriately;
- providing routes for employees and others working with PSF to raise concerns;
- reviewing our approach as our business and supply chain develop.
Freelancers and production partners
PSF works with a network of freelance crew and production specialists. We recognise that freelance and temporary workers can sometimes be particularly vulnerable to exploitation.
We aim to ensure that people working with PSF understand their terms of engagement and are treated fairly and respectfully.
Where we engage third-party labour providers, production partners or suppliers, we may undertake proportionate checks or require appropriate assurances about their employment and recruitment practices.
Raising concerns
Anyone working with PSF who has a concern about possible modern slavery or human trafficking is encouraged to raise it.
Concerns can be raised with a Director or through our Whistleblowing Policy. Employees can also seek independent HR or legal advice through Quest, our external HR and legal advice provider.
We will not tolerate retaliation against anyone who raises a genuine concern in good faith.
Responsibility
The Directors are responsible for overseeing PSF’s approach to modern slavery and for ensuring that concerns are taken seriously and dealt with appropriately.
This statement is reviewed annually alongside our Modern Slavery Policy.
