Our Man in Havana
We had a blast creating this Soviet-inspired, spy-thriller pastiche trailer for an adaptation of Graham Greene’s Our Man in Havana.
Set in pre-revolutionary Cuba, the story follows James Wormold, a British vacuum cleaner salesman struggling to support his extravagant daughter, Milly. When approached by MI6 to become their Havana operative, Wormold fabricates a network of fictitious agents and sends false intelligence—complete with diagrams of vacuum cleaner parts passed off as military installations. His reports, intended as harmless fabrications, inadvertently trigger real-world consequences, entangling him in a web of espionage and danger.
Our trailer captures the novel’s satirical tone, blending Cold War paranoia with comedic flair. It was a joy to bring this absurd yet thrilling narrative to life. It features live action studio footage and original artwork by the excellent Patrick Callum.
