Tilted Wig Productions

Our relationship with Tilted Wig goes all the way back 2017 when they, (as the company Creative Cow) were staging a co-production with Exeter Northcott of the E. Nesbitt classic The Railway Children.

Since then we have worked on a number of productions, including most recently a trailer for their adaptation of 80 Days Around the World.

We had a blast creating this Soviet-inspired, spy-thriller pastiche trailer for an adaptation of Graham Greene’s Our Man in Havana.

Set in pre-revolutionary Cuba, the story follows James Wormold, a British vacuum cleaner salesman struggling to support his extravagant daughter, Milly. When approached by MI6 to become their Havana operative, Wormold fabricates a network of fictitious agents and sends false intelligence—complete with diagrams of vacuum cleaner parts passed off as military installations. His reports, intended as harmless fabrications, inadvertently trigger real-world consequences, entangling him in a web of espionage and danger. 

Our trailer captures the novel’s satirical tone, blending Cold War paranoia with comedic flair. It was a joy to bring this absurd yet thrilling narrative to life.

Shot on a very rainy day on the South Devon Railway this is a trailer for a theatrical production of the E. Nesbit classic The Railway Children. It was great fun to shoot as we effectively had our own train for the day and despite the awful weather we managed to get some lovely shots.

The challenge of translating a story into from script to screen is one we relish and for this project it worked beautifully having actors in period costume and in real locations.

Another co-production between Creative Cow and the Northcott Theatre, we shot this video on location on Stepcote Hill in Exeter and in the basement of the City Gate pub!
