Charity Video & Podcast Production

Films and podcasts that raise awareness, build trust and drive fundraising

Charities do vital work, but communicating that work clearly, emotionally and effectively can be a challenge. Video and podcasts bridge that gap, helping you connect with audiences, build trust, and inspire real-world action.

At Preston Street Films, we create charity videos and podcasts that raise awareness, increase engagement and support fundraising efforts. Whether you’re a national organisation or a local nonprofit, we work with you to craft stories that resonate with donors, stakeholders and the communities you serve.

From campaign films and case studies to social content and podcast series, we specialise in turning complex issues into clear, human-centred storytelling.

Ainsley Harriott

Case Study: MS Society, 100k Your Way

This series of celebrity led short films was made to promote the MS Society’s 100k Your Way fundraising initiative. The Coronavirus pandemic meant that all the content had to be self shot and remotely directed. For this series of films we played on the self shot aesthetic to give the films a spontaneous and immediate feel. Each celebrity filmed on their own phone, whilst receiving remote direction from a PSF director.

The videos featured Scott Mills, The Hairy Bikers, Ainsley Harriott, Deborah Meaden and Ivo Graham.

Team meeting at the RAMM

Case Study - RAMM

We have worked with Exeter’s legendary Royal Albert Memorial Museum (RAMM) on a number of projects since they first commissioned us in the summer of 2021. That first project was to create series of branded documentaries that would help entice visitors back after lockdown and also provide online content should the pandemic cause the museum to have to close its doors again.

Treasures of RAMM is a series of 16 short documentaries which tell personal stories about different people’s favourite objects from the museum collection. These films form part of RAMM’s Treasures of the Museum trail, giving visitors a deeper insight into the stories behind the objects and improving visitor engagement both onsite and at home.

Create Content That Makes a Difference

Whether you’re launching a campaign, raising awareness, or communicating your impact, we can help you tell your story in a way that moves people to act.

Case Study: Exeter Northcott Theatre

Our relationship with the Northcott Theatre predates the formation of Preston Street Films, with our director Chris making content and TV commercials for them since 2015. More recently we have made a range of films celebrating the heritage of the theatre, highlighting its work with the Kickstarter scheme, interviewing the stars of the show Antigone and setting the stage for the future with a film about the theatre’s new business plan.

Charity Video & Podcast FAQs

How can video help increase donations for charities?

Video brings your work to life, showing real people, real stories and real impact. This emotional connection helps build trust and can significantly improve engagement and donation rates across campaigns, websites and social media.

What types of videos work best for charities?

Fundraising films, impact videos, case studies and short social media clips are all highly effective. The right format depends on your goals — whether that’s raising awareness, driving donations or reporting on impact.

Are podcasts useful for charities?

Yes, podcasts are a powerful way to build ongoing engagement. They allow charities to share deeper stories, interviews and insights, helping to strengthen relationships with supporters and keep audiences connected over time.

How much does charity video production cost in the UK?

Costs vary depending on the scope, length and complexity of the project. We offer flexible approaches, including remote and self-shot options, to suit different budgets while maintaining high production quality.

How long does it take to produce a charity film or podcast?

Timelines can range from a few days for simple social content to several weeks for larger campaigns or documentaries. We’ll always work with your deadlines and campaign schedules.

Can you work with sensitive subjects and vulnerable contributors?

Do you help with content strategy as well as production?
